Come be a shoreline scientist for the day. Students will explore how waves, wind, and ice move sand and stones along Lake Ontario. Participants will create brightly painted “tracer” rocks, visit the beach, and make predictions about how those rocks will move over time

About The Event

Come be a shoreline scientist for the day. Students will explore how waves, wind, and ice move sand and stones along Lake Ontario.

Participants will create brightly painted “tracer” rocks, visit the beach, and make predictions about how those rocks will move over time. Students can return for Part 2 to place the rocks and Part 3 to track their movement and see real results.

Permanent markers will be used. Please wear clothes that can get dirty.
