Join the Sterling Nature Center Volunteer Team

Grateful to the dedicated ladies of Sigma Delta Tau, who generously volunteered their time for a beach cleanup at the Sterling Nature Center, exemplifying community spirit and environmental stewardship."

Our Greatest Need Right Now

Front Desk and Gift Shop Volunteers

Front desk volunteers are the heart of the Nature Center and our biggest need at this time.

  • Welcome visitors and answer basic questions

  • Share information about trails and programs

  • Assist with the small gift shop

  • Answer phones and help staff as needed

Shifts are friendly, relaxed, and a great way to meet people who love the Nature Center as much as you do.

Other Ways to Volunteer

Trail Volunteers

Trail volunteering happens as a few organized group workdays each year.

  • Trail cleanups and light outdoor projects

  • Opportunities announced in the spring

Stay tuned for updates when dates are scheduled.

Programs and Events Volunteers

Help support programs and community events.

  • Assist with setup and check-in

  • Help during family activities

  • Support special events throughout the year
