Winter Birding at The Sterling Nature Center

Help us count and identify the birds at the Sterling Nature Center as we participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count. The Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) is a community science project that invites everyone worldwide to count and report birds they observe in their local area. It doesn’t have to be a backyard. It can be anywhere you choose, even sitting inside and watching birds come to a feeder. The observations are submitted to ebird.org and compiled for use in scientific research. The openness of the winter landscape allows us a clear view of the birds flitting about, making it an excellent time to learn or tune up your birding skills. Please dress for the weather; binoculars are available during the hike.
