Front Desk Volunteers Needed

Be the Friendly Face of Sterling Nature Center

Front desk volunteers are the heart of the Nature Center. These volunteers welcome visitors, share information, and help keep our doors open to the community.

If you enjoy meeting people and spending time in a beautiful setting, this is a perfect volunteer opportunity.

What Front Desk Volunteers Do

  • Greet visitors with a warm welcome

  • Answer basic questions about trails and programs

  • Share maps and information

  • Assist with the small gift shop

  • Answer phones and help staff as needed

No special experience is required. Training and support are provided.

Time Commitment

  • Flexible weekday or weekend shifts

  • Morning or afternoon options

  • Regular schedules or occasional help

We work with your availability.

 

 

Volunteer Orientation: Front Desk and Gift Shop

During these sessions, we will walk through how the front desk operates, what to expect in the role, and how to get started. New volunteers only need to attend one session.

Upcoming Orientations:
Saturday, April 25 | 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Sunday, May 3 | 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Friends of the Sterling Nature Center

The Friends of the Sterling Nature Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the development, preservation, and programming of the Sterling Nature Center.
