WHAT WILL THE KIDS DO?

No two days look the same. Children spend their time outside, moving, observing, experimenting, and creating.
They will:
• Hike wooded trails and along the lakeshore
• Identify birds, insects, and native plants
• Run simple outdoor science investigations
• Build nature-inspired art and creative projects
• Work in teams to solve challenges and complete group activities
• Play active games that connect learning with movement
This is an outdoor experience first. Kids are engaged, curious, and part of the natural world around them.
PROGRAM LEADERSHIP
The program is led by an experienced local educator and retired science teacher who brings decades of teaching experience and a passion for nature-based learning. The program is supervised by Sterling Nature Center Director Jim D’Angelo. All activities are carefully planned to provide a safe, engaging, and encouraging environment for every child.
