Susan P. Gateley, author of Downstream: An Exploration of My Watershed and A Natural History of Lake Ontario, will be at Inspiration sharing her work on the natural and human history of Lake Ontario and the waterways that shape our region.

Live Mushroom Growing Demonstration

Stop by and meet Michelle Tarolli for a live mushroom growing demonstration. Learn how mushrooms like shiitake, chestnut, and oyster can be grown at home. She will also have handmade goods and mushroom-inoculated logs available for purchase.
Silent Raffle
We will once again be holding a silent raffle during Inspiration. If you would like to donate an item, please contact Christine Engel at sncvolunteers2021@gmail.com.
All money raised will support continued Arts and Nature programming at the Sterling Nature Center, including hosting artists, installing exhibits, and holding receptions.

Fun for the Kids
Mike Flanagan will be painting faces again this year.


FSNC Kids Table
Stop by the Friends of the Sterling Nature Center children’s table for hands-on fun. Kids can take part in a nature scavenger hunt, create nature crafts, and explore the outdoors. It is a great stop for young explorers during Inspiration.
