In search of Hippos

Fri, Mar 14

Sterling

This is not a search for owls since we seldom find them when we look for them. Instead, we will be looking for hippopotamuses on this walk. Even though three species of owls nest at the Sterling Nature Center, we will not seek them out; we will look for hippos instead.

About The Event

This is not a search for owls since we seldom find them when we look for them. Instead, we will be looking for hippopotamuses on this walk. Even though three species of owls nest at the Sterling Nature Center, we will not seek them out; we will look for hippos instead. This will be a long hike following the Forest Ecology, Buttonbush, Upland, and Meadow trails, not in search of owls nesting and roosting at the nature center. Pre-registration is required by emailing snc@cayugacounty.us for this popular program.
